COAST OUTLAW SERIES 2021

Grassroots racing

A collection of regional downhill skateboard races across BC, suggested for intermediate or above skill level. Between July 10 & October 16th each regional area in BC. Will have (3) THREE scheduled races every (5) FIVE weeks to establish the top (4) FOUR racers from each region. These top FOUR racers from each area will qualify to race in a CHAMPIONSHIP RACE October 23rd 2021 to crown the winner ultimate of the 2021 COAST OUTLAW SERIES. The Regions are as follows; Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, Kootenays, and Okanagan.

The top 6 riders from each region are invited to this race to compete for ULTIMATE OUTLAW CHAMPION!

If you are unsure of which area you belong in, or if you are in between two areas and want clarification contact any of the appropriate area reps on Instagram or email coastoutlawseries@gmail.com and we will clear things up and consider racers needs on a case by case basis. We want people to have fun.

SCORING

The goal is to win the championship race. In order to do that a racer must score in the top 6 in their area to qualify for the championship race.

A. Your best 3 races count towards your overall score.
B. 2 of the 3 Race results must be earned from your home region.

Scoring points will be as follows:
1st – 25 points
2nd – 22 points
3rd – 20 points
4th – 18 points
5th – 16 points
6th – 14 points
7th – 12 points
8th – 10 points
9th – 8 points
10th – 6 points
The Winner of a consolation final race heat will receive +1 extra point.

RACE RULES

In no particular order:
1. No bitching or whining to the organizer. They do not have time for petty disputes that can probably be settled amongst your heat.
2. Rubbing is racing, being an unsportsmanlike asshole is not racing. No pushing or pulling off other racers.
3. Unlimited push unless stated otherwise .
4. Push start unless stated otherwise.
5. If you miss your heat, you’re out! We will not wait for you so pay attention.
6. Cash only at registration unless stated otherwise by the organizer – have correct change and contact the organizer for preferred method of payment for race entry.
7. Respect signals of corner marshals they are keeping racers safe and help out if required. It takes everyone to put on a race safely. Be kind offer help if you’re a seasoned racer.
8. Helmet and slide gloves mandatory at every race, along with a good attitude.
