Feb 22nd – BURNABY BURNER
This is a great race and one you should come out to and bring the whole family. Robert Burnaby Park is totally family friendly and there’s lots to do. Come early at noon and play a round of disc golf in the 12? hole disc golf course in the park. the first hole is at the bottom of the hill and there is a trail from the pool parking lot that leads downhill through the disc golf course – very easy to find, and a pleasant walk through the woods.
We will have a BBQ and bonfire afterwards at the Schwank Skatehouse very nearby. Come to the race for details on the after party location.
COURSE PREVIEW THANKS TO RAGGIE FOR FILMING!, THANKS TO STUMANCHU & CHASE FOR SPOTTING CORNERS, THANKS JACOB, RAGGIE and JORDAN FOR COMING OUT TO SKATE IN THE RAIN! THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT RACE!!!! RAIN OR SHINE!

$5.00 Entry. Full Face Helmet & gloves Required.
Like most outlaw races, this is on open roads and we will place as many spotters as possible to ensure safety of riders. That being said, please understand that skating on open roads is dangerous even under the best of conditions. There is a good chance this track will be wet, and may have gravel in parts. It is steep in the top section and mellows out in the mid section. I predict the left before the straight will be a make or break moment in this track. Some important notes about this race: We will try to get a shuttle vehicle not because its a long track but because its already illegal to skate in West Vancouver, and the less heat we draw on us the better. We will have to be quick about getting this race over and done with. Time is of the essence. In using a shuttle vehicle there will be less (or no) riders walking up the hill attracting the attention of wealthy, NIMBY, West Van residents. Hopefully we can get a shuttle vehicle to take everyone from the finish line area (low heat area) to the start line without any issues.
It would be ideal if, when everyone got to the top they were organized and ready to get in their heats, ready for racing. We will do our best to make this race a highly organized in and out mission.
